Andersen's Mermaid

Truth be told, I am not very proud of how it came out. I did not have a lot of time get it done for the college presentation deadline, and I obviously feel I could have done better. But yes, here it is, finally part of my long deviantART timeline.

As this version of the little mermaid is intended to be more faithful to Andersen's original story, I made her blonde and with a slender face because I perceived her being danish as the author himself; the slim body and the pose are due to how delicate and introverted she is described to be; those big eyes reflect, personally, her curiosity; finally the greyish tone of the tail stands for the dark nature of the tale.

La verdad sea dicha, no estoy muy orgullosa de cómo quedó. No tuve mucho tiempo para tenerlo listo antes del tiempo límite de la presentación en la universidad, y obviamente siento que pude haberlo hecho mejor. Pero sí, aquí está, finalmente forma parte de mi larga línea del tiempo en deviantART.

Como esta versión está hecha para ser más fiel a la historia original de Andersen, la he hecho rubia y con un rostro delgado porque la percibí siendo danesa como el propio autor; el cuerpo fino y la pose son debido a lo delicada e introvertida que es descrita; esos ojos grandes reflejan, personalmente, su curiosidad; finalmente el tono grisáceo de la cola representa la naturaleza oscura del cuento.
